| Some tips for
submitting demos:
Don't send low-quality, edited versions
that can't be tested out in a club. This
is dance music -- don't expect to get
signed on the strength of how your track
sounds on our studio monitors, especially
if you are only letting us hear 3 minutes.
Don't send music that sounds like nothing
that we have ever released or would ever
release. For example, minimal glitch electro
or disco diva house is probably not the
best thing to send to Toes in the Sand.
When you just blast your music out to
every label on Earth, it shows that you
have not taken the time to do your research
-- you are just hoping for the best.
We receive a lot of demos each week. We
provide feedback on every demo as soon
as possible. Be patient.
Don't ask us to find you another label
that might want to sign your tracks.
A professional cover letter and bio goes
a long way, rather than just saying, "Hey,
check my awesome track out." |
