Javier Labarca (Masque) was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1986. Since he was just a kid, he always showed interest in musical instruments, leading him to first play guitar in rock bands with his friends. He has been producing music for a few years now, starting with hip hop instrumentals and then trip hop. Later, he started listening to electronic music, especially house. Influenced by Sasha and Hernán Cattaneo, Javier started producing progressive house.

2007 was a breakthrough year for Javier. After winning a remix contest for Argentina´s Republika Records, he decided to get more serious with his music and got his first release signed on BIT Records Mexico. His career continued to accelerate as he soon signed EPs to Greece’s top label Underground Lessons and Toes in the Sand Recordings in the United States.

His tracks have been charted by Hernan Cattaneo, Gerardo Boscarino, Ogi Gee Cash & Synchronized and Andrew-K.
